沙参玉竹毛瓜汤

If you googled on web, you will realised this 2 herbs always goes hand in hand which is
suppose to help relieving cough and clear phlegm. Hmmm dear son has been coughing on
and off again, think is time to brew this soup again....






Ingredient
  • 19gm 沙参,Sand Ginseng (Adenophora)
  • 19gm 玉竹,Odoratum
  • 450gm 节瓜, Chinese Marrow
  • 400gm pork bones
  • 70gm peanuts
  • 5 large seedless red dates
  • 2 slices ginger
  • salt to taste

Method
  1. Rinse pork bones and blanch in boiling water for 1 minute. Rinse again.
  2. Place all ingredients, except salt, with 2.5L water in a pot, bring to boil. Lower heat and simmer for 2 hours. Add salt to taste.
